Electrical and Control Systems Engineers/ Lawyers

Before transitioning to the legal profession, our expertise centered around the design and implementation of extensive High Voltage Generation, High Voltage and Low Voltage Distribution Systems. This included Switchboards, Protection Schemes, Uninterruptable Power Supplies, Inverters, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Static Synchronous Compensator (Statcom) Systems, specifically tailored for use in wind and solar farms. Our design capabilities extended to conducting load flow and harmonic studies to optimize overall system performance.

In overseeing the design and installation phases, we managed Variable Speed Drives, HV and LV Cabling and Distribution, Capacitor Banks, Motor Control Centres, PLC, Profibus, Modbus, and Honeywell Device Net control systems. Additionally, responsibilities covered Fire Detection and Protection Systems, Emergency Warning and Intercommunication Systems (EWIS), Lighting, General Power, Computer, Data, PABX, and Telephone systems. We actively supervised testing and commissioning activities, certified completed installations, and negotiated electricity supply agreements along with connection requirements with AEMO, Pacific Power, and various Supply Authorities nationwide.

As Chartered Electrical Engineers and proud members of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), we actively contributed to the formulation and updates of Australian Standards. Regular participation in seminars sponsored by Engineers Australia and AEMO demonstrated our commitment to staying abreast of industry advancements.

Moreover, our firm is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), underscoring our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of excellence and ethical conduct. In navigating legal processes, we have successfully managed adjudication and arbitration proceedings in Australia, Dubai, and Singapore, showcasing our adeptness in legal matters across diverse jurisdictions.

Over 50% of our clients settle their disputes even before legal action commences. This is because we prepare fully substantiated cost and delay claims that deal with defects, variations, disruption, and payment disputes on their projects with a solid contractual/legal argument that leads to amicable commercial negotiations and early settlement.
